Winter Clinics and Indoor Training

The Richmond Braves believe in constant development, on and off the field.  We will have skills clinics on Saturday, December 5th, Sunday, January 24th and Saturday, February 13th at VA Sports Complex’s indoor facility, as well as, team testing on Sunday, February 14th and 21st.  We will have our weekly regional training centers open around the state in January and February.  The locations and their dates and times will be sent out soon.
 
The December 5th clinics will have two special guests, Matt Tyner and Kurt Elbin.  Coach Tyner is the hitting coach from The University of Richmond and will conduct a 2 hour hitting clinic from 9:00 to 11:00 am.   He is one of the most sought after hitting coaches in the country and does XVT hitting clinics at all the big camps.  Kurt Elbin, the recruiting coordinator for VA Commonwealth University will be on site from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.  He will conduct a parents Q&A session from 12:00 to 1:00 pm and then assist with the OF clinic.  Most of our Braves staff will be on hand to work on bunting, catching, MIF, CIF and base running.  The schedule is as follows for Saturday, December 5th at VA Sports Complex:

12:00 – 3:00   Open Tryout – Bring a friend to tryout
2:00 – 3:30     MIF/CIF Clinic
3:30 – 4:00     Baserunning Clinic
 
All Braves players are welcome to attend any or all of the clinics.  There isn’t any registration or cost to attend. Just show up and get to work!  Braves apparel will be on site for sale…early Christmas shopping.
 
There is no flat ground.  You should be doing something everyday to make yourself better.
